This is the authority's data, and they haven't republished it since 2 May 2023. The boundary may still be exactly right — most don't move for years. We show the date because a rule can change without the open data changing with it — we have seen an authority announce a new charge on its own website while the matching dataset sat untouched for three years. There is no national sticker for Italy. A ZTL is a permission zone, not an emissions zone: there is no vignette you can buy that admits you anywhere, the way Crit'Air or the Umweltplakette does. Access is granted zone by zone by the comune — to residents, permit holders and (usually) guests of hotels inside the zone. That does not mean nothing is payable here. Milano also operates a charge zone, which you pay to enter rather than apply for. Some Italian cities are also starting to sell annual ZTL permits outright — check the comune before assuming a permit can only be granted, not bought. If you have booked a hotel in the centre, ask them to register your plate before you arrive.
